World Cup Summer

Did you watch soccer this summer? Attend a game? Go to a watch party?

The World Cup was the unexpected joy of the summer. Even though my team did not advance as far as I had hoped, I found myself cheering for countries new to me and celebrating the meaning of being a team.

A group text watch party, I never knew I needed, brought such fun to my days.

This summer reminded me that celebrating wins and grieving losses is what unites us. And recognizing the heart found within them both. May the winds of this World Cup Summer remain just a little moment longer.
